Content Isn't King

You've undoubtedly heard this phrase 1000s of times.

Most marketers have said it themselves at one point or another.

"Content is king"

Well, it's a lie.

Or rather, a simplification.

In the real world of marketing... there's something far more important than content.

Distribution

The ability to actually get your content in front of the ideal audience.

Content is great, but without distribution it's just noise.

So How Do You Build Distribution?

  1. Know where your audience pays attention
  2. Show up there as often as possible

While the answer is simple; that doesn't make it easy.

Identifying who your audience is, and where they pay attention is challenging enough.

And, once you know where they pay attention you actually have to distribute content there regularly.

One platform isn't a big deal, but 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 (it can really add up)

Hammering The Point Home

When you invest in content, you're trading your time & money for impressions and follows.

Ultimately with the goal to turn those impressions and follows back into money.

When you only distribute your content once, you're greatly limiting the impact that it will have on your goals.

When you distribute your content 10x, 20x, 30x, and so on...

The ROI becomes insane.

That's why it's not the Content that is king, it's the Distribution.
